I haven’t been updating my blog regularly since Ramadhan. Actually, there’s nothing interesting to write.
Yesterday, after work, I met Juanita (Jojo) at Bugis. We wanted to collect our baju kurung at TKC but decided to break fast at Bussorah St. coz we fear that the food outlets at Geylang will be full with other Muslims who wanted to break fast too. We browsed through the stalls but most of the food sold there were quite heavy. So, both of us decided to buy kebab. I had chicken kebab while Jojo had beef kebab. We bought cold and hot drinks each and proceed to the tentage nearby to look for seats. While waiting for azan Maghrib, we chatted about our daily problems at home and work and so on.
After the meal, we walked to Bugis MRT and boarded a train to Geylang. The crowd was lesser during weekdays which make shopping much easier. After trying our outfits and satisfied with the workmanship, we window-shopped at TKC. I bought 2 scarves from Jelita – 1 for myself & 1 for my mom. Thereafter, we headed to Joo Chiat to collect Jojo’s hubby and sons’ baju Melayu. Jojo wanted to buy a pantsuit for herself but nothing nice caught her eyes, so we decided to buy some foods from the bazaar before heading home. I took a cab while Jojo took the train home.
This will be our last meet until after Hari Raya. We’re gonna be busy making last minute preparation next week for the big day. Looks like our next outings will be after the festive days. Besides, Jojo is resigning from her current job and she’s busy job hunting. Once she has settled with her new job, maybe we’ll resume back our meets like normal. Hopefully she’ll get a job before her last day at the current workplace.
